Taking Care of Pewter Jewelry

All of our pewter jewelry is made from lead-free and nickel-free alloy. That means it doesn't turn, tarnish, or stain. And we've found pewter to be hypoallergenic for most people. We do add an antique patina to many designs to make the details stand out using a waterproof coloring.

You can wear our jewelry every day, at the beach, in the shower, or in the mud! And it won't turn your fingers green.

Just treat your Doctor Gus Designs piece like you would any other bit of jewelry. A little soap and water cleans them right up. Treat it gentle and give it a good buff with a soft cloth from time to time to bring back the shine and you'll be able to enjoy it for a long time.

How to Find Your Ring Size

Determining your ring size at home is simple with the right tools. Wrap a non-stretchy string or a thin strip of paper around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length in millimeters. Alternatively, measure the inside diameter of a well-fitting ring. Use an online ring size chart to match your measurements to the correct size. For best results, measure at the end of the day when fingers are largest, and ensure the ring fits snugly but can slide over your knuckle. Many retailers offer free sizing tools and printable charts for added convenience.

How to Adjust Our Rings

We have designed all of our rings with adjustability in mind. First, select a size that is close to the size you need. Once you receive your ring, simply push or pull it open to fit your finger. A firm and gentle push-pull is all they need to resize for that perfect final fit.

That being said, we can adjust your ring to almost any size you require. Simply leave us a message on your order and we'll do our best.

Also make sure to stop by one of our in-person events where we can custom fit the rings exactly to your finger!

Custom Orders

Our custom commissions are mostly closed. But we are open to cool ideas. We take on custom orders occasionally, but keep in mind that we're small and often on the road at various events. It's best not to promise what can't be finished in a timely manner.

That being said, we do like to work on pieces for clubs and events and teams and such. Our workshop is set up for small production runs. For instance, creating 100 badges for a LARP is something we can do... if we have the right timing available in our schedule.

Do You Offer Wholesale

Yes we do offer wholesale deals to a limited number of shops and individuals. We actually do make everything by hand over here, and it takes a lot of time, so we try to keep things manageable for our own sanity.

We also offer wholesale deals on our leatherworking hardware such as conchos and belt buckles.

Reach out and let us know what you're interested in. We're easy to work with.

Collaborations

We are absolutely looking to work with cool people to showcase our products and potentially create some exclusive limited edition designs. The sky's the limit.
